The Spark: Why We Started

Our journey began in the classrooms of schools and colleges across India.

While interacting with students, our team noticed a startling paradox: students were academically brilliant, scoring top marks in science and math, yet they were completely "financially illiterate."

We met college graduates who could solve complex calculus but didn't know how a bank loan worked, what a mutual fund was, or how to manage their first paycheck.

This led us to a staggering reality: Only 27% of Indians are financially literate. This means 4 out of every 5 adults lack basic financial knowledge. We viewed this as a national alarm. We realized that if the youth, the backbone of India’s future grow up without knowing how to manage wealth, the cycle of financial insecurity will never end.
